Free Scrapbooking Ideas - Decorating Your Photos

Photography has become such an important part of scrapbooking now because it is a big part of making a scrapbook. While some people prefer to make scrapbooks out of souvenirs, objects bound by their memories, others create scrapbooks especially for their photos. Decorating a photo can be harder than it looks. When it comes to beautifying a scrapbook, you have to make sure that viewers not only appreciate the decoration that comes with the scrapbook but also the pictures as well - they are the reason for the scrapbook anyway.
The question is, how do you decorate your photos in your scrapbook? What are some ways to highlight the memories secluded in the pictures?

Aside from the tips you'll get from taking online classes, here are two tips you can use for your scrapbook:

Scrapbooking tip #1: Use preferred decorative paper as a background for your photo. Be creative. Cut out squares of patterned paper; have them aligned in diamonds so that they show bits of themselves above each paper. On top of the last design, curl Japanese paper to outline the photo, before placing the photo neatly in the middle.

Scrapbooking tip #2: Simple outlining results in elegant beauty. For memories with enlarged photos, use this to capture the page. Outline with one or two embellishments, and have simple, light colored background - possibly patterned paper. To top it all off, add a quote onto the page and entitle it with the name of the event using felt letters or magazine letters.
