Naturalist Photography

Naturalistic photography has its roots in the effects that were as a result of social and economic trends that were in opposition in the mid 19th century. It seeks to bring out the relationship that exists between man and nature. It is an upcoming trend with a history that is embedded on the importance of studying the evolution of photography.

Today, naturalistic photography reflects on the changes that were brought about by the industrial revolution and how there were great attempts to hold on to what were considered as the most important aspects of life but which were unfortunately frustrated by the great upheavals and social changes.

Humanity was abused, in that self-consciousness became insufficient for survival. Technology brought about a situation that can only be described as a Topsy-turfy because it tampered with the peace that humanity knew and made warfare possible and efficient. The only way to restore human spirituality was through nature by means of artistic pictures. This is how naturalistic photography gained its momentum.

Many people are fans of this work of art but the intensity of the collection of these visual representation is yet to be felt. However, present-day photojournalism and documentaries have a gone along way in restoring the sanity between man and nature, just like our forefathers enjoyed quiet in the wild, days long gone. It would be a good idea if we invested in naturalistic photography because after all, it is the forerunner of the pictograph dimension of photo shooting in general.
