Facebook Model Search Can Benefit Photography Studios

As many photography studios are finding out, Facebook is an excellent marketing tool for photographers. Once a photographer has a number of friends, those friends will expose their friends to the photographer's specials, videos and pictures. One of the challenges of course is getting started. Once you already have a corpus of people who mark you as their friends, all of your wonderful work will be distributed through those people to encourage other people to become friends; however, the question arises how do you quickly get a number of friends to get the ball rolling.

One way to accomplish this goal is to seek models in the market in which you would like to become a Facebook member. For example, if you are seeking to expand out into the senior market you can use senior models. There are a number of ways in which you can find these models. You can send out direct mailings to high school seniors seeking Facebook models; or a flyer on a permitted on campus event might be a good way to find models. Once you've decided on how to find the desired models, you need to be selective in who you choose. You want someone who will represent the product you are trying to portray in a positive way and is active in their Facebook account. For example, if you are trying to present a positive upbeat image, you don't want to choose someone who has a Facebook page covered with negative remarks. Also as is usually the case in any photography advertising, you want to find someone who is attractive.

Once you've identified your models offer the models and incentive for posting the pictures you take on Facebook. For example, you could offer them a $30 print credit if they post their pictures. Offer a free video collage of their pictures if they are willing to post it to their Facebook account.

After you've posted the pictures, don't go out and ask all of your model's friend to be your friend. Wait for them to come to you. Remember you are a guest with your models Facebook friend. Only become friends with those who seek you out. You need to keep a positive reputation in the community.

Remember your pictures should have your logo somewhere on them so that those looking at them will know where and how to contact you.

Facebook is a great marketing tool for photographers and photographers can use senior models to effectively begin to build their marketing base.
